Trust for Google over Apple has been consistent in other surveys. If you look at the yearly Meeker report it is similar. It is in the health data section http://www.kpcb.com/internet-trends 2017 Internet Trends — Kleiner

Apple FY 2017 results were worse than FY 2015. Yet share price appreciated. Just sayin. The others yes they are growing.

You only listed three? Who do you consider the fourth? Personally think it is one tier with two, Google and Amazon and then FB and do not know of a fourth.

Apple is forecasted in their FY 2017 to be far worse than their 2015. While Google does over 20% growth.

Totally agree on Google closing in on Apple and App!e is 22 years older. Apple FY Q3 FCF was actually less than Google FY Q3 FCF by 20%. Now Apple is off calendar by a quarter but suspect Google will do it again in Q4. Problem for Apple

Ads is a business model and not a product or service. Search is a service. Google generates ads from a variety of services. So not sure what you mean by diversifying? Plus fastest growing is the business not using an ad based business

ChromeOS is already running containers. I personally run GNU/Linux in a container on ChromeOS. Just install GNUroot or termux. I then use XSDL in a container for display. They are both Android apps. The problem is they use a fa

Disagree. They are all using the same kernel and nothing is being emulated. So they are as native as anything else. I think the confusion comes from people not understanding containers. It is simply some extra properties in kernel dat

Yes. Google wns 8% of Uber and Uber recent pricing was a valuation of $70b. So Google investment into Uber much higher. Google want to cover bases I suspect. SDC is all about ride sharing.

Think this will be a winner take all. So would agree on a monopoly and Google is well positioned.

Google already owns 8% of Uber and Uber recent repricing valuation was $70b. So Google stills has a lot more invested in Uber. Plus Google is rumored to be starting their own ride sharing. Think Google is covering their bases.

Exactly what I would love. A Linux MacBook. That is really secure and then the cherry on top would be also Android support. Really hope that is what we will get with Pixelbook.

This sounds pretty cool if it ends up correct. Able to develop GNU/Linux on the my laptop just makes sense as the cloud is Linux in most cases. Then to get a secure Chrome OS and the cherry on top is Android support.

Apple chose to let the China government into their China data center and Google chose to leave the country instead. So not so simple on who you trust. Personally I trust Google more as they are just a lot better at keeping things secure

If you look how Google has done multiple accounts versus Amazon you can see the core difference between the two devices. The Echo has a code you use for different accounts and the Google Home (GH) just uses your voice. The Echo is really mo
