Quality and price aren't related when the price and quality are controlled. Most countries control prices or quality (running the services) unlike the US.

Depends how you wrote the application and such I've never written an API but I've consumed enough of them to know that you should try and comply with OAuth as its implemented in libraries.

Does this mean the NDK will get easier to use? Its pretty obtuse, and I've worked with porting software on multiple platforms (not on one to another exactly).

Yes, you are jaded. And yes it might make some sense if you were trying to fix the economy. But I'd hedge that these charities will do more to alleviate poverty than Google paying some people more and hoping that something good happens.

Xmpp allows you to be a bit more secure and fine tune the usage. If your client or library doesn't actually make this simpler, something has failed.

Chrome doesn't behave with limited cpu/ram. It likes to "burst". I generally close it when doing anything like gaming or VMing much.
