not usually 1/10 almost always at least 1/2, sometimes approaching 1/10 if a class hierarchy is a large % of the project and it can turn into a discriminated union.

It is just complete nonsense. In fact deep learning/AI chips used for neural networks usually have reduced floating point precision because they don't need it.

agreed. after years of having used Oracle and SQL Server at work, to find I could have a working database in about 10 seconds with sudo apt-get install postgresql was amazing to me!

The implementations in the benchmark game are all targeting performance. This will almost always also be the most energy efficient thing on modern cpus. It will not always be the most memory efficient way. I neither agree or disagree with
