It would be a slow rollout anyway. First customers would be people with ~200 mile routes, just charge at home base. Then people with ~500 mile routes that can charge at both ends. grow from there.

Like AA games/game engines, and some micro controllers sure. Desktop applications like text editors where waiting for JITs and high pause times are annoying unlike things running on server as well.

There will be some crossover since Go's AOT compilation and low latency pause times will make some things that needed to be done in C++ or Rust viable in Go.

The difference is with an authoritative servers many types of cheats become impossible. If the server doesn't broadcast the position of a player when it is impossible to see them, then the client can't hack to get their positio

A peer to peer online game is a game where people are going to cheat a lot. You don't have to inject code to cheat, you can inject bits into the network stream.

yes, but those of us who would desperately like to use Go because there are vanishingly few GC languages that compile to native exe AOT, won't because of no generics. So it is a bit of a tautology. How useful they are depends greatly
