Can you show the total lifecycle math where you worked this all out, or are you just asserting it without evidence? How much bigger and heavier is an electric SUV vs a regular one? How does a ModelY compare to a Mazda CX-5 for instance?

Maybe since you don't understand it, you should quit asserting why they do it, maybe you should talk to them sometime. I'd be happy to talk to you about it.

Yeah, a lot of people have this idea that you fight misinformation with calm, collected, rational argument. Well, I guess I need to prepare a cold, calm, collected rational argument about how that isn't at all effective, heh.

More hardware can improve reliability of a few things but doesn't address the fundamental problem, which is that Tesla FSD has no coherent way to deal with novel situations, which happen all the time when driving. IMHO we won't s

We have a shortage of fulfilling jobs too, and a shortage of jobs that pay enough to ever afford a home. Ever wonder why people are bored enough to make up Qanon conspiracies, believe them, and start an insurrection over total nonsense? Too

regarding #6: The Aptera can do pretty well on just solar charging, enough that many people could commute every day and never plug it in (if they can park it in the sun every day, which you can't)

There is nothing special about 100% or 80%, for all current chemistries in cars, the battery ages faster the higher you charge it. There is a little bit of a step change around ~60% so keeping it below that is good for days when you can.

The sensible thing would be for it to stop charging at actual 75% and then as the battery degrades unlock the unused range gradually so it appears like there is no degredation for a decade. and in 5-10 years your range may match your neighb

LFP batteries age faster when at 100% just like non LFP batteries, but since they degrade slower over time overall, and since you need occasional 100% charges for the battery management system to know what % of charge you are at, it is reco

At this point it has gotten bad enough that I won't even view twitter links. It is ethically corrupt to give them views/money, and dangerous. Threads is a reasonable replacement if you need the fix.

It is more general than the west, it is that Good people are naive. They don't understand how many people are willing to lie and kill to get even petty gains from it. The USA is struggling with this asymmetry internally right now too.
