Yes, stuff like this shouldn't be in the source. UglifyJS and Closure compiler make this optimization, but I've used other js minifiers that did not.

Analytics for a site I run (mainly dealing with web-dev) has Chrome usage growing at a steady rate. For the past 6 months, Chrome has gained about 1% market share a month (out of ~160,000 visits a month).

DNT breaks down if advertisers don't participate. As long as it's not a law, what are the chances they will respect DNT if it's opt-out rather than opt-in?

I suppose you could attempt to log in while omitting the last character of your password to test against truncating.

I guess I'm the only one that gets spam with Gmail. I receive about 15,000 spam a month of which 10-20 a day get through. Unfortunately my email address is in the JavaScript of a lot of websites due to a plugin I authored.

This is clever. However, it depends on scripts using the shorthand notation for jQuery's ready method. Maybe it would be better form to use something explicit instead rather than doubling up $ operator.

I'm sure this is common practice, but I don't like that Tucows (Hover) is squating 200k premium domains and auctioning expiring domains. I have too much disdain for cyber squatters to respect Hover as a registrar. http://en.wikipedia.org/

There is nothing wrong with extending the prototypes of objects, as long as they are objects you own. Don't modify what you don't own is sound advice that applies to many things. I wish they went into detail on what the problem is with mul
