I’ve had a lot of success with Taildrive (still alpha) to share directories between devices in sync. e.g my keepassxc database lives on my homeserver, all devices access it through taildrive, this is impossible with iCloud drive because the

I just put dotfiles directly where they are and majr a .git directory in my $HOME. .gitignore everything and git add -f files when I need to. no symlinking or anything.

I’m currently in using sway on fedora, I’m considering moving to macOS because of tighter integration of icloud (everything is on my iphone) and generally better polish of the OS. This is another reason to switch

I had issues with voidlinux+musl for using rust but that was a couple years back. Thankfully you can easily reinstall void with glibc

Firstly; the round « robust » connector started to malfunction, the cord would slowly drop out of the barrel. Secondly; My phone is usb c, I only carry around a single cable type now, I feel like I have adcended and reached cable heaven.

Are sourcing bash scripts in a fish shell? If you can either run bash ./xyz or add the shebang #!/bin/bash to run scripts with the intended interpreter

I recently reinstalled my personal laptop to distro hop. the only two files I migrated over were my pgp key and .bash_history, the bash history is around 8000 lines I don’t want to loose. sometimes I ‘sort | uniq’ the bash history to filter

It does depend on the shell here, bun is reimplementing basic commands to make them cross platform, like rm -rf is not running the rm binary because that doesn’t work on windows
