One part of the article is especially about how cheap the lenses and the sensors that he is using are. So, I expect the manufacturing costs to be only a fraction of those needed for DSLR. So, I would expect the price to be a fraction of tho

Does it really have to be such high resolution display? I gather that, as the observer gets further from the display (and this is a photo frame, usually looked at from afar), the resolution gets less and less important.

Unfortunately btsync is very much not open-source. There are alternatives, though. I am very satisfied with syncthing[1], although it didn't have usable mobile app last time I checked. [1] http://syncthing.net/

Thank you, but it's still too subtle IMO. Is there some unspoken marketing rule not to include simple phrases such as "Dash is an OS X application"?

Frankly, I don't know whether AppStore offers only OSX apps (or you can also buy iOS apps, or certain website access). It also doesn't mean that it's not some kind of portable application (working also on OSX). That's al

There are. Even Google Maps work when offline (you can cache maps). No navigation, of course, just GPS.

That's true (thanks), but anyways, it seems to me that a simple animation should take only a fraction of a modern CPU's (or GPU) power. Is the engine calculating more often than what's needed for 60fps or whatever refresh rat
