My cynical impression has been that Firefox keeps moving stuff around to keep some UX manager occupied (sorry, "for clarity") and dropping power user options bit by bit. I've grown frustrated. If they no longer want to cater

It is a very valid argument against data collection for the sake of data collection, which is closely related. Can't find the exact source, but there was this story about some French (?) town keeping a list of Jews in their documents,

This is a really damaging take. In any area imaginable, a low barrier to entry has been proven to breed more people on the high end of skill and commitment. There's nothing wrong with folks who don't want to deal with dehumanizing

E.g. the last update removed right click -> open image, which I used all the time to view images in full screen. Now there's only an option to open the image in a new tab, which requires additional clicks to achieve the same thing.

One fairly cheap bedroom addition I can't recommend enough is blackout curtains. Took me 25 years to discover that they're a thing, and the improvement in quality of sleep has been immense for me.

Great UX, great tool. I wish "shuffle" truly randomized the settings, rather than cycled through a dozen presets. Maybe separate button to shuffle just the patterns and not the colors? Color shuffling is where most of the ugly out

Unlike English though, the pronunciation is almost always straightforward and non-ambiguous. The spelling for some sounds can be confusing at first, but once you internalize it, it'll work 99% of the time.

Commenting so I can find this later. There was talk.gg which is exactly what you're looking for, but I see it's been down for a few years now.

A single hog being killed for 150000 kcal of sustenance is a lot more morally acceptable than 50 minks being killed for a single luxury coat. It's not cognitive dissonance to think this. (numbers from quick, non-exhaustive googling)

There are a lot of extremely complex, demanding, and unique systems-based indie games which are very successful. I think you have it backwards - At the Gates is a case of a game simply not being up to bar despite the recognizable name behin

That's very different from my experience. You can't hide "trends", "who to follow", or "topics", and they make it pretty much impossible to do with simple cosmetic filtering, which I certainly don

"A push on the git repo" is not something I would think trivial for a non-tech person. However, netlify also supports just drag-and-dropping a zip onto the dashboard. That's probably as easy as it gets.
