Everything around us: political tumult and weaponization of the justice system, ICE and other capricious projections of federal authority, the failure of drug prohibition, and on and on and on, points to a very simple solution: Abolish SWAT

I wonder what will win out: first party solutions that fiddle with context under-the-hood, or open solutions that are built on top and provide context management in some programmatic and model-agnostic way. I'm thinking the latter, bot

Yeah, as I said, I prefer my fans get my music from IPFS or Bit Torrent or some other decentralized place. I have the same objections to Apple Music that I have to Spotify and all the rest of the DRM crooks.

This is one of (though not the only) reasons I'm uncomfortable having my music on Spotify. I do still publish there, but I vastly prefer my fans grab my music via IPFS or Bit Torrent. It's so bizarre that someone hovering over the

Yeah I'm honestly not sure. Systems of regulation (ie, achieving regularity) need to be developed that don't depend on the state.

A simple, interesting, and too-often-unspoken answer is that LLMs, especially with 100k+ context heaps, seem to be better at tasks that have contextual significance and scenery than they are at following one-off instructions. Or at least, t

At the risk of sounding knee-jerk libertarian (though there are worse ways to sound), it seems to me that top-down, big bloc regulation is a non-trivial piece of what has gotten into this mess. The entrenchment via regulatory capture at the
