Would love a system that analyses my shell command usage and recommend when I should link commands I often use in series and turn them into one line. It’s more than just frequency analysis because it helps to remember what commands happened

It’s amazing how one person can make a relatively unknown place a hub in an academic field. Makes me really think that sometimes the great man theory has merit.

I wondered what was the last time you could say that "half the YC batch is working on an X startup", for any value of X. When did this pseudo math talk creep into normal speech? It reeks of charlatans pretending to be technical

Do you think it is the difference between hardware vs software? The competition for hardware is fierce, so margins and profits are low.

In some Asian countries, microwaves are not common. They use a steamer with either metal or porcelain bowls inside. Maybe the data can be used to compare between microwave SV non microwave life.

Thanks. I created a lens that searches PubMed for scientific papers. It’s not bad, but not sure if it’s better than just searching on pubmed or scholar.google.com

I found these questions excellent prompts for chatgpt. I imagine using chatgpt plus these questions would greatly help a grad student study for their comps.

The UK has taken such a nosedive recently that news of rejoining Horizon Europe (something they have had for many years) is met with wide celebration.

That’s essentially the British social class system in a nutshell: very subtle accents, dress, and manners convey how high you are on the social hierarchy. Everything is understated, dressing flashy or bragging is vulgar.

It’s crazy that even back then , a man with his talent had productivity was largely ignored by society. I lament the thousands of latent van goghs today that just didn’t get noticed in todays hyper competitive and hyper attention-focused so

Lots of comments here saying Germany is 30 percent cheaper than Austria. Isn’t living in Vienna much cheaper than living in big cities in Germany like Berlin and Munich? So overall it’s still a better deal to live in Vienna than in Munich.
