Well, two chapters have singular value decomposition and neural networks as the applications. So it does have a lot of ML :) But yes, I unfortunately had to cut a probability chapter. I think someone who reads this book would have a much ea

What part of Google's behavior thus far makes you think they'll drag their feet?

Dragonfly catalogues and indexes searches for dissident topics, linking them to the searcher's phone number. Literally a search engine for dissidents.

Testing alone will not preserve knowledge, just safety. Knowledge requires an explanation of what the tests are doing and how the tests detect it.

Indeed, there's a reason that SQL statements still need formatting and keyword capitalization hints to make it readable.

I'm moving the weight more toward the center of the plane, but the plane "appears" heavier in the front. This is the opposite effect, no?

One trick I always used but never understood why it worked: When you add a crease to the paper airplane, (say, folding a square corner in on itself at the nose or the tail), it weighs down that part of the plane. So if your plane is pointin

I've done this, 100% tested documentation for a complex project, and it was a nightmare to maintain (eventually abandoned). Maybe it makes sense for simple projects, but for my project it was an utter disaster.

That is exactly my point. Now you have to disambiguate a poorly-chosen symbol. The theorem doesn't need the stipulation that c != 0 since you have already excluded c from the domain.

If you define a/0 to be a value, then you can ask whether (2 + 1)/0 = 2/0 + 1/0. This is not meaningless since both sides are defined. If you define a/0 = 2, then the equation is false. Using "infinity" (w
