This would fail to create the hysteria he was looking when the ship that didn't detonate the bomb also didn't explode. The hysteria he wants comes from getting people to actually commit things they wouldn't normally do.

This issue has always been about time. It doesn't matter how clean the code is, it can still get complex. If it takes someone less time to read your comment than to read code and finally know what the function does, this is a situation wher

Steve is free to do what he wants. Owning apple shares is not a good enough reason to expect someone to give up their privacy.

Sometimes I get annoyed when my cat is particularly vocal and won't respond to, the usually effective, shhhhhh. I can only imagine the frustration the people at the RIAA feel with so many smart people trying to figure out how to take them o

For me, it's just normal use... I had the last.fm app for a few days but removed it after I realized it was making iTunes freeze. I agree with 37signals that it is the best phone I've had. It used to be better.

This tool would be neater if it understood some discussion formats so you could pull the top comment groups from multiple discussion boards on the same topic similar to how google groups news.

On this topic, I think people aren't upvoting the articles they like enough to squash stuff that isn't particularly interesting.

I must admit, I have a hard time knowing what I'd need an ide for when I can use emacs and have a python interpreter running inside it. I haven't worked on any python projects large enough to make me need help navigating the code though.

Worrying is fine. It's how you find problems. If you worry to the point of not acting, you won't last very long. The process of finding and solving problems doesn't have much room for delay in the context of entrepreneurship.

Some domains carry a crowd that will eat the naive alive. I cannot imagine someone starting a financial tech company being younger than their 30's.

As a musician, it's interesting to read this. It speaks of stuff most musicians intuitively know and think about but in a language any engineer can understand. I hope this encourages some people to pick up a guitar and have at it.
