After school I would rush home and dial up to my local 4-node BBS and play LORD for hours. One day the Sysop noticed how much I was playing and used a cheat which gave me the very hard to get "blood sword". Good times!

This would be a really useful plugin for Microsoft Outlook. I would shell out the $4.99 for that. However, if I have to fire up a separate app to use this I might as well just use the free web app.

Agreed. Also, trying not to listen to others conversations about the latest TV shows, etc. whilst trying to code negatively affects productivity and can generate some hostility towards the chattier folks in the office. Good, closed-ear head

Why pay $1,299 for a thin client OS even if it's running thick client hardware? I can run a browser and so much more in a macbook air or thinkpad in the same price range.

I was just in Waterloo at a database technical conference and most of the folks I worked with were very smart people with BMaths from UW. Google, Sybase , SAP, Oracle, Intel, etc.. all have offices to snap up the technical talent there.
