Why are you perpetuating the myth that frequent switching of jobs is somehow detrimental to your career? Maybe that's true for corporate megacorp, but in the startup world I feel it's par for the course. At least all the best engi

I'm glad I'm not alone in noticing this. The level of discourse on HN is step beyond any other site I frequent. I don't go a single day without being impressed by somebody's diction. Some of you have a knack for articula

A lot of these things are already in Dart, which has a much nicer syntax. If they're going to switch from Java, I'd want them to choose Dart.

Never found a good one either. I think it's because HN members stay in their respective domain channels - #python #javascript for example. #startups on freenode is supposedly made up of HN crowd, but I've never found it a friendly

How did you get good at development? At some level, you practiced by copying patterns and implementing them, learning along the way. The same principle is true for design. I have a friend who I've seen progress from nothing to becoming

Multiple viewpoints are infinitely more interesting than a single viewpoint. I rely on comments so much that I cannot finish an article without immediately looking for a comments link (most of the time to no avail).
