I'm not sure what you mean by "those boards", but the mass redaction and removal of comments is a site-wide thing at this point. It isn't unique to a certain type of community, demographic, or interest.

WebAuthn should negate the need for a 2nd factor in the traditional sense (you can't steal/extract the WebAuthn private-key). I suppose you could bolt on some kind of WebAuthn after a user/pass login, but I don't see why

I fault Google. They were not realistic about how much it costs to build out such a network. Once they got a real taste of the cost, they got cold feet about any further expansion.

Me and two of my friends have been using the Elgato 4K cam link for a year every day for streaming. Not a single issue reported. Perhaps you have a faulty unit.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Google Fiber is a "meme ISP"? They feel far short of their original ambitious goals. I stopped paying attention to them as their plans got more and more de-scoped over time.
