I wanted to come and post this. Sonic Pi is an amazing tool with a compelling raison d'etre that I would think resonates with the HN community. It's a realtime code as performance tool aimed at teaching kids programming but is als

Ugh. Realtor.ca isn't really due to standardization but monopolization and control. It's a site by CREA (the Canadian Real Estate Assocation) and has exclusive rights to data from all member associations. disclaimer: I am affiliat

This looks cool. I've been transitioning from an untidy, cruft-filled personal .vimrc to spacemacs but I find myself running back to vim frequently as I haven't learned the analogous key strokes for all of my basic usage/work

I'd guess ignorance? I'd never heard of 'logical decoding' before and the name of the feature doesn't lend itself to easy understanding. That said, thanks for pointing this out - it looks like yet another very usefu

I hadn't thought of that, but upon reflection perhaps the 'For Dummies' has paved the way and people are more willing to accept mildly offensive book publishers/titles ?

Just a warning - after 6+ hours (not sure exactly as I went to sleep) my Yosemite install failed because the log buffer was full. I can't say for sure that this would not have happened if I hadn't left the log viewer open, but I w
