Firefox and Chrome have a cookie whitelisting feature. You can let non-whitelisted sites set whatever cookies they want, but have them cleared on browser exit.

Part of the reason rescaled images look dim and blurry is because rescaling software usually assumes gamma 1.0 instead of 2.2: http://www.4p8.com/eric.brasseur/gamma.html There are many more good essays on image rescal

Really? Pretty much all the feeds I've seen are full-text feeds. For the few that aren't, http://fulltextrssfeed.com/ and http://fullrss.net/ are around.

Yeah, you could patch seesaw-kit to not delete local data. Note that greader-grab just gets a random work item from the tracker. There's an ISO spec for WARC and tools linked at http://www.archiveteam.org/index.php?ti

Have you tried the JSON API? (See the requests that Google Reader itself makes.) It requires no cookies and supports getting up 1000 items per continuation.

Thanks for the link, I highly recommend people do this for the feeds they care about, since ArchiveTeam cannot guarantee bug-free operation. Also, it looks like there is another tool mentioned in https://news.ycombinator.com/

After the greader*-grab programs upload data to the target server, it is removed from your machine. All of the data eventually ends up in WARCs at https://archive.org/details/archiveteam_greader As for an API, someone

ArchiveTeam has saved cached Reader feed data for 37.3M feeds so far, and even though this seems like a lot, it still doesn't include many of the feeds people are subscribed to. Hence the request for OPMLs/subscriptions.xml files

That's a good point, I guess I just gave up on that battle long ago. (Well, not entirely. Games don't get my redshift color+brightness adjustments, and I used to be able to play video without the adjustments as well.)

If you want the cached feed data from Reader preserved, ArchiveTeam is still collecting OPMLs: http://allyourfeed.ludios.org:8080/ http://archiveteam.org/index.php?title=Google_Reader We've saved about

If it hurts your eyes, why not turn down the brightness and/or set up f.lux or redshift?

I'm guessing this happens when a designer has a bright LCD screen and thinks black on white has too much contrast.

You are not the only one to realize this. http://www.archiveteam.org/index.php?title=Google_Reader has backed up 30 million feeds so far. (And needs everybody's OPML files to back up more.)

Not yet, I don't have a good way to provide query ability on my postgres db. I also haven't yet imported a lot of files I have lying around. You can email me for an rsync source that contains the work items we've generated. Right now this
