But I literally don't want non-reversible transactions. I cannot think of a case where non-reversibility is desired. I understand you can build reversibility on top, but why? Better to just have an underlying fully-reversible platform

So if we all switch to crypto then the incentives to go to war would go away? How does that even supposed to work? We go to war for 1) land 2) resources 3) religion/various -isms. Crypto solves none of these (well, it potentially makes

Honestly this current state of affairs seems like a much better alternatives. I'll take any reversibility vs no reversibility. I only wish there was more reversibility. In terms of vulnerability to hacking (which you alluded to in your

I feel like you make a better argument against using cash rather than for using crypto. I don’t use cash anymore because I do want transaction reversibility and fraud/theft/loss protection. You say it isn’t “necessary” but in the

In India Modi's government has a long history of subverting media and trying to use government powers to control narrative. I don't think totalitarianism (even though backed by the government) is a good option.

Asset prices as they impact real people are reflected in CPI, which shows low inflation. The fact that cash flow instruments are higher priced (and that’s largely because of low interest rather than QE) is kind of orthogonal to most people’

It’s unclear that this is happening. There is a good argument that what we are seeing is basis effect + pent up demand and has literally nothing to do with monetary policy. This is why the consensus for now is that current inflation is tran

No, you can be existentially important to the company and still not produce market rate worth of value. Example: Virtual Widget Co has one employee. The company makes $120k/year in revenue (and so max cap for compensation is ~100k/

That’s a half truth, if you want to sell lots of treasuries at low yield, which was the case, you have to QE. There is a clear benefit to low yield debt in deficit spending, and so far no real harm (>10 years later!)
