looks nice, especially in reducing memory use. it would have been great if they built in k-fold cross-validation by default too

applied ML research here also -- a lot of interactive (but highly parallelizable) modeling, graphing. Using medium-size data sets around 3-4GB in ram, by the time you forked it a few times, you easily end up beyond the m4.10xlarge or c4.8xl

Umm they use the first 6 months of data in the model. How is it surprising that trajectory of stars in first 6 months predicts the rest of the trajectory.....
