dumb analogy, the issue is libraries, you don't need to read bytecode to be able to use a Java library in Java or Clojure but you do need to read Java. Same with Cljs and JS.

All this just to avoid writing JS in nodejs for simple scripts? why add more complexity to simple things? just to write JS with parenthesis? clojurescript is overkill and definitely tedious to use for this because is not suited for scripts

I guess you are not familiar with Clojure, it adds a lot overhead over the overhead of the JVM to startup time.

IMO, nodejs today is a reliable tech for many different kinds of server side workloads, I wouldn't compare it to mongodb.

Every time you save your edits Tramp makes a new connection to the remote server, it's slow(1sec vs 1ms) and becomes annoying waiting for the save all the time. For doing quick edits it doesn't matter but for doing dev all day it

Well, a pretty good reason is that C# is statically typed, which a lot of developers prefer. Don't know, everyday I see more and more C# devs preferring Typescript for new projects.

This is the kind of misunderstanding that causes insidious bugs. That's how all mainstream languages with a GC work, Java, C#, Ruby and Python, it's not particular to JS. And this why why languages like Clojure are nice to work

People are allured by the rapid prototyping aspects of Tailwind which is the main bait. It's pretty fast to see results immediately without openining the css file. This an interesting psychological point to discuss IMO, we get lured

The ecosystem is fragmented between four competing "standard libraries" that overlap in functionality but each one has some feature the other doesn't have. So you can imagine the mess and frustration all this causes.

If you put for example postgresql on equal footing, application and database in the same server (over unix sockets), then I guess 200 SQL statements is not a problem either for the timeline example.
