server-side-rendered HTMl with JS sprinkled (yes, that sprinkled JS can contain React). Works for most web apps.

I love Rails but it does seem like nextjs has left it in the dust i What next is missing is a blessed omakase way to deploy it with a DB. So its missing a complete "rails" solution? that's a big "missing" I mean

Are you just purposely ignoring them? adequate for most businesses (the JVM and its ecosystem its going to be accepted way faster than a CL runtime).

What about the server-side of things? If you only have to the UI sure, but if you have to write the whole thing, rails/django is going to be way less work. No need for an intermediate network JSON API with all the encoding/decodin

Rails is still the best way to create server-side-rendered HTML web apps IMO, but besides the effects of SPAs on Rails, Rails is also declining fast because Ruby became a too niche language.

True, with time you get good and fast at doing interop, but I can see newcomers getting frustrated with the chore and quitting prematurely because of that.
