Personally, I'm not sure $4 million is enough to convince me to deal with anonymous internet gamers almost 24/7. The guy works hard, and while I'm not a fan I don't begrudge him the wealth.

Not as comprehensive as I'd like, but there are standards and regulations. Part of the problem is that these are relatively "new", as far as power companies go. http://www.nerc.com/pa/Stand/Pages

Mostly, I hope they mostly improve the game. Not remake it, re-think it, re-purposed. Just clean it up, make some UI improvements. If I were to make a big change, it would be to add a stand-alone server. Not necessarily multi-player, but ju

I just started playing with this a couple of days ago. I use conda on Windows, and it installed without any issue. It's pretty easy to get started and crank out a usable UI. My toy app isn't sophisticated (service status for one s

Plenty of businesses make those mistakes. FWIW, there is a learning curve to it all. I won't deny having some painful lessons in my past.

Some of the best life advice I got from my Grandmother: You are always working for yourself. You may have an employer, but you are still working for yourself, not them. You're trading your time for money, like any other business. If yo

Exactly! Trying to appeal to millions of people is difficult and expensive. A candidate needs deep coffers, and lots of contacts. Trying to appeal to those within a half mile or so is much more straightforward. That's something that ca

The Constitution allows for many more representatives. Why don't we bump up that number, to say, 10,000 members in the HoR? Logistical problems? Yes, there would be quite a few. As it is, any given member has to suck up to moneyed inte

In other discussions about this, the point is made that there are some very nasty things buried in those landfills. (I'm certainly no authority) Hazerdous waste, bio-waste, etc. The mining technology would have to include something to

Both the RNC and DNC are screwed. Yes, the Republican candidate won (and brought a lot of senators with him), but he isn't "their man". Both establishments put up their chosen people, and both establishments lost. They'v

I was a huge fan back in the 4.x - 6.x days. The problems, for me, were: - apps developed specifically for Linux. The shim wasn't 100%. - Hardware support. This wasn't too bad, but I always had to take it into consideration. -
