This reminds me of a question I've had for the longest time (+): why is it that in the US wiring money between accounts is so expensive or difficult? Whole ecosystems of companies have sprung up (PayPal and Stripe come to mind, and app

Sorry it got a bit long but here's something. Let me know if you need more or different suggestions. I would say you need at least three things: (1) a physics textbook with some EE emphasis to get the fundamental physics (again?), (2)

I can give you some starting points, but it depends on where you are now and where you want to go. Could you answer the following so I can narrow my recommendations down? 1) What is your background? Education, experience, hobby/work..

Judging by your username, I assume you submitted your own blogpost. I really don't mean to put you down, because I am interested in the material but if you want to improve the quality of your blogposts, let me give some constructive fe

I am interested but not convinced (I rarely use Google these days). Could you on the Chrome store: 1) Show a comparison between old and new image search results? 2) Explain why the old style is better? optional: 3) In broad strokes, how you

Maybe an option similar to Netflix's "skip introduction" by which you can press a button to skip the intro or (default) watch it.

While I agree that there are no silver bullets and multiple approaches are required, I don't agree that we need to pursue everything that may help. First, a lot of R&D must be done (for all types of solutions) and the money to fund

I would argue there is a moral "sin" in releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, because (in your words) it leads to "practical problems", i.e. anthropogenic climate change. If you can remove the carbon again, t

Additionally, the required storage volume looks pretty insane (see one of the figures in the linked paper). I'm not convinced of biomass burial.

This is an amazing pledge and very powerful statement. However, I am not 100% convinced morally of CCS solutions. The main counter argument being that CCS technology enables the status quo of fossil fuel burning to continue. On the other h

There is a glitch in both charts on mobile (FF and chrome). For example, the first chart shows >2100 cumulative forest fires (contrary to ~1650 in the text). The value in the chart that appears if you click the data point is correct.
