I understand the author's frustration, but I don't think this is an issue with npm - rather, it is an issue with the culture. Most node packages are small - rarely more than a couple hundred lines, and rarely do more than a single function

A lot of people think Splunk must be a terrible place to work at because they think it is an "enterprise" company. But the truth is, we have great jobs for a lot of people. Want to work on awesome visualizations for gigabytes and terabytes

Search seems a bit whacked, at the moment. If I search for 'redis', for example, I'll get many results multiple times (right after each). Otherwise, looks pretty useful.

I've used browserify to "compile" node.js files to a single, browser-includeable JS file. It has worked remarkably well. Also, James (@substack) is a rockstar. He's continuously made the library better and better.

It's funny, I clicked on the link to read this, and suddenly he mentions Katrin. I worked with her on a small project, and was hugely impressed by her skill and her in general. Whoever gets to work with her is quite lucky! Best of luck to K

You bring up two interesting points. Regarding the first (partnering), I definitely think that's a great way to learn and I'm definitely open to those possibilities if someone is interested. Though the question still stands regarding how to
