My limited understanding is most content gets reinvested in creating more content. That is $10.5B that won't be used to create new movies, tv shows, etc.

I can't speak for EM roles, but ICs have many peers in similar roles to compare them to. Also, there is an unofficial "pre-pip" phase, where the EM tries to correct these issues. Pips are the nuclear option that cost the EM a

PIPs are a double edged blade. If the worker passes the pip, but regresses immediately, then we can't just keep yo-yoing with multiple pips per year. So unfortunately, this means when an EM creates a PIP, to prevent Yo-Yoing, they need

FDIC would only get involved if the bank was insolvent? If your bank and you have a disagreement over how much money should be in your account, then FDIC wouldn't be involved?

Take-home pay isn't higher if you consider taxes. I go on way more road trips and hikes than what San Francisco ever permitted. While SF has a few good hikes, it expensive to own a car (parking, insurance, break ins, ticketing). Seattl

Take home. Salary seems to be 1.5-2x Orlando peers. I prefer Seattle over SF. In Seattle, I can own a car and have a safe place to park it.

In Atlanta, I earned $70k/yr ($4k/mo after taxes). I saved about $2k/mo When I moved to SF, I earned $130k/yr ($6k/mo after taxes). I saved about $3k/mo You can't expect the same quality of life as you did

There are obvious exceptions to everything. But I’ve lived in Atlanta, Orlando, SF and Seattle. Moving to SF was a career multiplier. I instantly doubled my salary. Now, I’m earning 2-5x more than my peers (that were more senior than me) th

I also heard the power companies just don't have the extra power to supply the ferries. The terminals need to be redesigned to receive and emit that much juice.

jobs that pay well are a signal that there is high demand for this skill in our society and that more people need to develops these skills. Why would we not want universities to respond to that signal?

yeah, I kinda wondered if personal economics played into it. like if you're in debt and low income, having 7 days of supplies in advanced is already a big ask. You also might not have the space in your home to store that much too.

is it so difficult to print custom brochures per area (distributed by the local city?). I get fliers from my city 1-2x per year with locally focused recommendations to help our environment.

Many of the comments mention supplies for 1 week. I wonder how they got that number. Shouldn't preparedness depend on your location? city vs countryside? port city vs inland?

I finished HS in 2007. I remember equal, if not worse things growing up online. The internet was less moderated back then and there was a lot of communities that celebrated toxic behaviors (like 4chan).

I knew one person that used sick leave (for mental health) to take time off to prep for job interviews due to the toxic work environment. That is an option if you have higher personal obligations and are struggling mentally.
