I watched a documentary about how covid was caused by a khazakstani journalist finding out about the clintons eating bill gates’ child’s adrenal gland. that was more credible than whatever conspiracy you’re reading about.

I was walking through parliament square yesterday, and was shocked by how few private cars there were. Vans, black cabs, busses made up 80%+ of my limited sample

Very few people pass through NZ, it’s not like london or singapore or whatever. NZ doesn’t rely on cross border lorry drivers either, and is far enough away that any boats are quarantined

15 year old boys tend not to have that “water off a ducks back” skill, even when they’ve been brought up with social media. Still you can always rely on your heroes: https://youtu.be/raGruhb8Qbg

Vast majority of those jobs don’t rely on the network effects of major SF/NY/Seatle hubs. There’s little difference To prospects to someone working as a plumber in a town of 30k people vs a city of 3m people.

Wil Wheaton reported he really took the existence of alt.wesley.crusher.die.die.die, and the associated trolling, to heart as a 15 year old nerd. He was more mature and could cope far better later on sites such as slashdot where he engaged,

I don’t care about the size of the screen. I care about the width, and to a lesser extent the height. The 12 mini looks just about reasonable, will find out next month if it actually is.

As a right handed person my thumb reaches the left edge of my 2016SE, but any further would be an uncomfortable stretch. From my XR experience there was an option to shift the keyboard to the side, so they acknowledge the design flaw.

Completely agree with you. I’m typing this on my trusty SE. Work gave me an XR back in February which I tried for a week, horrendous device. While the lack of 3.5mm is a drawback, the phone looks only a few mm wider that the (2016)SE, which

Just because you aren’t explicitly racist doesn’t mean you have unconscious bias that you need to check and control. The same applies to computer algorithms. The real danger is when those algorithms are treated as without bias.
