I actually was trying to use hub as part of our workflow (pull request from feature branches) and it requires a user token that's no longer obtainable (that I could find) as github is deprecating it in favor of oauth. So I'm now building a

At its heart, the internet is about information dissemination, in whatever form that information takes. Discovery has always been the issue, from link portals to message boards to search engines, it's finding information you're interested

We've been looking for a dashboard for our engineering group to get some better real-time visibility into the health of our systems (been weighing internal run and hosted solutions). That said, we have a massive amount of data coming in we

Potentially, I just remember from having fought with this late last week with the GWT Developer one, which was called the "GWT Developer Tools Plugin", and I can't ever remember what Firefox calls a Plugin vs. Extension vs. Add-On.

FireFox gets a lot of flack for it because of plugin support. We use GWT for an internal webapp and the developer plugin is not compatible every time they do a release of FireFox (it really is, but packaging makes it not). New machine? G

(this is gonna sound bad, but) I'm a fan of how lines end in sh/bash. If there isn't a matching close for every open symbol, or there's a slash (opposite of /, my phone doesn't have the character on the keyboard) it ends after the next lin

Hrm, that actually makes the issue tricky to solve. I don't have any Windows machines to work with, so I can't test, and I'm not very familiar with using Go on Windows in general, but is it possible to specify delayed load of the DLLs? Th

They only get scattered throughout when using cgo with the DLLs loaded by the Windows system by the application loader rather than by the go runtime. It appears to be very specific to how Windows loads DLLs at runtime.

Looking through the linked bug and the testing they did, the issue doesn't appear to be using Go for 32 bit systems. It's using 32 bit compiled Go programs that use cgo on 64 bit Windows systems. Understanding the why of the issue is extre

Similar methods are widespread in interrogation tactics as well. With enough lies, you can determine the truth (eliminate all contradictory statements and what remains is either the truth or an amazingly executed piece of misinformation).

This is spot on for how the hotels operate. Everything is a cost on top of already slim margins and if it doesn't contribute to an extra dollar in the till, they won't pay for it. I used to work for a company that internet access at a lar

Considering that I'd guess the number of phd astrophysisists at under 10000, a generous 50% female ratio, and 95th percentile for level of attractiveness, we're looking at 250 potential matches, or .4%. Odds are low, but not off the chart

If you look at the implementations, they didn't include that it's the square root of the formula that must be less than or equal to the radius in the initial math overview, but did it right in the code.

I explain why I think Scala will be giant to people by saying it is Java's C++. It's as painful or nice as you want it, one company's use looks nothing like another's and it is building on years of pain points to solve problems in a differ

This has been the opposite from my experience with Scala. Rather than build a single system with a large codebase, it allows us to build small, compartmentalized systems and compose them together. Then again, we don't use maven, instead u

I dislike people using the child-support laws as an example of a law that is completely biased against men. One which is completely absurd, insane and over-the-top favoring women over men is in the rights a man has around the establishment

Dropping the tranny in a rear wheel drive is easy with just jack stands, front wheel drive, not so much. That said, I have collapsable engine stand/block and tackle (can lift with block and tackle, remove 2 pins, rotate, lower onto stand)

I read their comment as saying that we sell software that solves problems for everyone, but we only sell it well to men. We need to find a way to sell to women as well.
