Indeed you are right. To say the truth I knew what to expect when I clicked the comments link: the “I studied hard therefore I deserve more” meritocratic bullshit we are used to. The worst lies are the ones we create ourselves as a excuse t

In clojure you have thread macros to solve the “inside-out” problem. (-> 3 (+ 6) (* 7) (/ 12)) or (just an example, fictional names) (->> object reflector fields (map :balance) (filter #(> % 1000)) Which reads like (pseudo

If you don’t have unit tests in a distributed team of 30+ devs per site you are screwed in ANY language.

It's not a valid javascript post if it doesn't say how many lines of code did you use. Edit: grammar

"Dart meanwhile is Google’s open-source Web programming language, which has an ultimate goal of replacing JavaScript." Good luck on that. On my side if I were to see JS replaced I would choose Lua as a replacement.

I was just looking for that! Can it be used with the normal lua interpreter too? I want to use it on my löve game, so, no luaJIT.

This is really cool but I have one question: "Now free, one month only" that means it's free forever if I download it this month or can I use it for free for one month and then I have to pay?

If hacker news is any indicator of success than go will become the most used programming language soon. Yeah I was been ironic but go is quite a nice language =)

"Where Clojure is about simplicity, Scala seems to be about complexity." I have the same opinion. I would really like to try a haskell on the jvm but I'd prefer if it'd be strict instead of lazy.

you can use core.async [1] on clojurescript right now to mitigate callback hell (or if you love go aync/channels) [1] http://www.infoq.com/news/2013/07/core-async
