Internet.org is currently offered on only one carrier (Reliance) and this is a clear net neutrality violation. Even if it were offered on all carriers, this is a violation. Also, this is hypocritical since FB supports NN in US! What's

One thing to note is that there's no EFF like organisation and this is mostly done by volunteers [1]. This has also been largest response to any consultation by Indian government having received 600K+ responses through campaign sites[2

I think the benefit is that the iPhone has sensors that can collect lots of data. For example, the Perkinson's(?) app makes you tap on two targets quickly and say "aaaaa" for long and analyzes the ups and downs in vocal cords

Came here thinking exactly this. Lot of us are in situations where time matters quite a bit. After trying some solutions, it is best to ask someone. People asking how to do something when they haven't tried can get irritating sometimes

India is a strange place in regards to pricing! I have no idea how Apple manufactures iPhone in China, sells it for $650 in US but will sell same one for ~$900 here. They are saving transportation costs as we are right next to China. Maybe

This is a very important point. I switched to Firefox mainly due to intertial scrolling and better fonts (Chrome looks crap till this 37 beta and needs a flag). Extensions are more powerful on Firefox but I think they are coplicated as well

Depends which country's reasonable you are talking about. In my country, broadband is anything more than 256 kbps! So, to call their services broadband, almost all providers drop speed after FUP limit (anywhere from 8-200 GB) to 256kbp

I think internet was the real game changer. Once bandwidth got good enough for downloading software, it got easier to sell and patch anything. I can't imagine living 7-8 months without patches. AppStore is definitely a step up, but it
