Interesting that having a way to fix problems - someone you can call for help - always seems to be left unsolved with digital currency. > What happens if I lose my phone? Can I recover my funds? > Our launch today only uses Ethereum t

I think the reason QtQuick hasn't taken over this space, is that you still need to deal with C++ and cross-compiling. If QT had an option that made it clear you could develop and distribute in JavaScript only, that would be a hit.

Why didn't they make a video calling app and go after Skype? They're a phone company making a video centric, mobile app. Make it open and everywhere with easy no/low cost usage... oh, right, it's Verizon. They have to ow

Thinking about the problems with client-side SQL seems informative[0]: * Security; allowing evaluation rather than a describing results. * DDL; Data Structure and Types need to be learned out-of-band. Ideally we want a sort-of interactive I

Would a clear-text token, in addition to an encrypted connect token, allow servers to drop packets faster (since it wouldn't require decryption)? A clear token could be changed (cached, expired) however the back-end wanted, which would

If I make a menu with the same items that your restaurant offers, it shouldn't be an issue of copyright, even if I preserve the "semantic meaning" of the menu items (copying the recipes, for example.)

The templating is fast and safe but a pain to use. For example, an HTML Select needs a 3-value list: id,text, selected bool. You can't evaluate a comparison (if...) or call a function in the template. It's unpleasant.

You're right that it doesn't work for the advertisers. It also isn't a technical solution: ad-blockers don't just use domain names; they also block based on tags, ids and css classes, etc..
