Path is really good, I've been using it for about a year now. It's like FB, but much closer-knit. It's like Swarm and FB. Easy to share things, easy to decide who to share with. It started where you could only have a small nu

I think this one would be an even better reference point to show the gulf of effectiveness between where we were and where we are now: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NES_Zapper

I think that the efficiency of the specific task isn't actually the point here, but rather how the robot is progressing on learning the task on its own. In the future when this is put to practical application, I don't doubt that w

I remember this, and actually thought the same thing. It led me to do some research and I came across a pretty interesting page on the topic of smoothing out waves of traffic. It's an old site and I was just able to re-find it just now

This is typical of them. To do my best to take a jab at them every time I can, when I am forced to pay with PayPal, I specifically select my AMEX to pay because it has the highest transaction fees for them.

Those animated gifs throughout the article were awful. But as for the substance, does it really take knowing people on the inside to have a successful app these days? That seems surprising.

Not being 100 degrees in the summer would be a start. I'm not a fan of SF, but their weather is much more temperate (despite the annoying-ness of having to carry a jacket with you all the time, all year for when it randomly turns to 50

I take from this that there needs to be some flexibility in how the results of the algorithms are applied. I also find the first example in the article unconvincing as a real mistake. It states that Robert McDaniel had: > a misdemeanor c

I have to use Uber as a Houstonian (Lyft pulled out), but anytime I travel, I use Lyft whenever possible.

Oh, well AMEX in general is the most liberal with consumer-protection. If it ends up being fake, or the end product is nothing like the description, or whatever, AMEX just credits you with no questions asked. They also do lots of cool stuff

Wow! Preordered, but used my AMEX in case it turns out to be VaporWare.

Certainly! I imagine most people are going to get it with the shield versus just running headless. I believe wholesale on a shield like this would be in the $8-9 range, and they're essentially charging an extra $15 for the hdmi.

Even a bluetooth or wifi dongle costs more than $9 retail! I just really don't see how this is possible, although that more than doubles to add an HDMI port.

Dealerships are an outdated relic from a bygone era, like the Electoral College. It's not just about "people hat[ing] car dealerships," the issue is that the dealerships are rent-seeking middlemen between the supplier and the

I've had the same thing happen to me a couple times, always seemingly on the way to the airport even. It's really frustrating. In those situations, I generally switch to Lyft and get picked up without cancellation. Unfortunately t

We all make decisions and assumptions based on our past experiences. It's perfectly natural that if we keep seeing the same input leading to the same output over and over, we begin to associate that input with that output. Sometimes th
