I'm pretty much with you and still trying to figure out why I want to switch away from pyenv+poetry. I get that uv does both, but I'm very happy with pyenv+poetry combo. Old baggage, but I came from the rvm world which attempted t

haha hilarious, it does end though when you become "CTO". You can read the code and it takes a LONG time to get there by "typing emails" or you can run `givePromotion()` or update the variables holding that.

Realistically, this is a pipe dream. China has had a few that are trying this NIO being the most well known. To me, it's not really viable. The 3 main problems are - The extra costs in a vehicle to allow swapping within say 5 minutes i

I think many people who argue this, including myself, are saying that there are good cuts and harmful cuts, this likely falling into the latter. The common two reference point for "good" ways to reduce the deficit is 1) spend less

Is this Gemini 2? Because we've been testing and for our tagging duse case it's been quite quite good. 4o still out performs by 4% (86% vs 90%) but it's acceptable for us given the 35x decrease in cost. We've been able t

Separately Gemini's Flash is $0.10/1m tokens. which is bonkers compared to Chat's $3.50/1m. Quality gap for sure but a 35x gap? Definitely worth testing for your use case.

> Only OP knows what OP knows and no amount of theory can disprove it, This isn't true either. Memories themselves are non-falsifiable. So no matter what we either side says we'll literally never know the truth.

In Lord of The Rings, there's a scene - King Theoden buries his son and says to Gandalf, "No parent should have to bury their child." That stuck deeply with me and eventually I decided that if I lost my child, I'd let it

This is why people who spend even medium amounts of time in space are so crippled when they return. For any length of stay > 4 months their return home workouts are insane like 2+ hours per day.

Stole in that they didn't pay publishers (authors?) any money to use the books. Maybe the Library system does apply here though, that all AI trainers need to buy 1 copy of their book so "their child" can "learn"?
