That's a terrible idea. It would mean that people would fear to report genuine crimes because they are then harshly punished if the accused is acquitted. The fact is that the justice system is not perfect. Occasionally a guilty person

I don't think it alienates any of their base. The Lib Dems have always been hugely pro-Europe, I doubt that anyone who voted Leave would have been a supporter in the first place.

Yes, but it's not as though western Europeans all have exactly the same skin tone either - you can still make the wrong assumption. I think the idea would be to have multiple people with different skin tones so that you can check that

Both of these things depend on what country you live in. The US, EU etc are not the world. The biological consequences, on the other hand, are certain and universal.

Plenty of men aren't there and don't feel guilty about it. And stigma? Only if you live in a very small, close-knit community. For men, unlike women, involvement is a choice. Not an easy choice, but still a choice.
