Older generations absolutely love AI slop. If you haven't used Facebook recently, it's all old people sharing fake videos of animals doing silly things.

Why this performative outrage? Taylor Farm's social media interns are not reading hacker news.

It's (good) content marketing. They sell access to Kimi K3. They're one of the biggest model inference providers out there.

SAM3.1 was released and open sourced March 2026. But what's the point of correcting you? People will continue to propagate their own lies.

They realized the banked resets were too expensive, so they stopped giving those out for the last 2 resets.

I would expect them to grow faster than 1 million users a day in that case, since chatGPT has almost a billion users. Maybe everyone's just using the web app or mobile?

I don't get it. How is Jim Keller running a brand new, hard tech startup while being CEO of Tenstorrent at the same time?

Nah, the vast majority of popular deployed models are still on Hopper.

The best cross-platform API is CUDA, because we have ROCm.

Cool concept, but implementation is bad. The exposures vary so much between the separate shots it's giving a stroboscopic effect. Hopefully they fix it in later revisions.

There's probably compute done on ram to reduce the file size before it hits disk. Definitely going to be redundant information in the scan.

Sort of. Phi models were just trained on GPT outputs though.

This is how much storage the average r/datahoarder user has in their basement. Fewer than 100 hard drives.

Gyroflow claims to support in body stabilization. I haven't done a side by side test to see if this works better.

From the website it definitely does not look like a terminal anymore.

Looking at Warp.dev, it looks exactly like Codex or Cursor. I thought it used to be a terminal?

I read the title 2-3 times, and every time I swore it said "Robot cat ears". Wtf.

It looks pretty good! I'm using it now and its a meaningful improvement to the existing site. Out of curiosity, why did you make a new Github account for the extension instead of developing it on your own account?

It made it realistic. A pelican is much more likely to be flying in the sky than riding a bicycle.

I don't get why writers do this. It makes sense for fiction, but why a factual, non-fiction article?

How good is the guitar to MIDI detection? Can it recognize chords?

Would be useful to have a video demoing it if people don't have a guitar or MIDI instrument handy.

I just started reading Asimov press. It has a weird name, I thought they were a sci-fi publishing company at first. It had a unique blend of popular science writing that was sorely missing from the internet. Alas I hardly knew thee.

Everyone is surprised at the $300k/year figure, but that seems on the low end. My previous work place spends tens of millions a year on GPU continuous integration tests.
