Yeah - similar information sometimes (I had to check several listings before I found one with this info) exists when looking for flats in Germany. See, e.g., https://www.immobilienscout24.de/expose/96661853?referrer=RE.

They're also superior (and less stressful) for a certain type of person - for example, my mother appears to be slowing down a bit, mentally, as she gets older, and a chat bot would be a lot easier for her to navigate over a phone menu,

In the UK, at least, Credit Cards also have much better protection under the law: http://www.money.co.uk/current-accounts/is-debit-card-protec... - Debit Cards are not _required_ to have any protection.

You're comparing completely, utterly different results here, and it's really hurting any point you're trying to make. You're comparing KDB running on 4x Intel Xeon Phi 7210 CPUs, totaling 256 physical CPUs. Compared to t

A "soft" Brexit would not result in us leaving the EU, not in any practical sense. We'd still be a member, all that would change is the type of member to more of an "associate" member than "full" member.

Hah! I'll give you that only if we get a "hard" Brexit - if we get a "soft" Brexit (or no Brexit!) - that is, keeping free movement in exchange for free market access, and thus having to live by all the rules but ge

I think the whole "Block Party" thing works better in smaller places. e.g. In NY, unless you had a BBQ on the roof, it probably wouldn't be possible (and where would you put everyone who turned up?). Similar in London - yes,

I believe that ambulances and especially fire trucks have a wider wheelbase than cars and vans do, so what I've seen in a number of places is speed humps that don't cover the entire road. They're wide enough that you can'

Is it actually 100% necessary to hand-craft assembly for bootstrapping the OS? I suppose it could be that it's simpler to write it out in assembly, since the C (/etc) code would look basically the same - just a lot of assigning cr

I think Gett (a Black Cab app I use in London) improves upon tipping somewhat as well - your choices are 0%, 5%, 10%, or 12%. That's it. No giving a 20% tip (or a 100% tip because you were drunk-typing or whatever). I've always ju

I can't explain why there were no criminal charges (likely because it's a breach of contract, which is not a criminal affair), but the remote company only performed about 35% of the work. If the actual contractor still had to do 6
