My bad, I was looking for source of the second claim (French supplies) before getting interrupted. Now I'm unable to edit my comment. My claim that France supplied weapons to Hong Kong Police recently was not correct. The "Water C

Not XinJiang, but after British and American companies refused to sell weapons to Hong Kong Police , they turned to French and Swedish companies which happily sold them whatever they wanted [1][2]. [1] - https://hongkongfp.com&#x

It's incredibly sad that this is not getting as much attention as it should. Lots of people in the world knows about them, but not many countries, even those that suffered WWII are turning a blind eye to this. XinJiang is practically a

Improving the training set is the way to go. Like others have said, maybe we should attempt to improve contrast of darker faces before training (which won't be easy as well). That said, a non-diverse facial dataset in a diverse society

Popularity of blog posts are driven largely by SEO which is good for marketing but not so much for consuming knowledge. I believe a lot of people (myself included) don't realize they read a lot of blog posts and articles about a topic

For me I'm happy to go to office as long as I live near it, and working hours are flexible. Unfortunately a lot of industries outside tech do not provide those. The cost of transport, especially the drainage of energy after squeezing i

Also with government officials starting to describe every protest as "riots" and "terrorism", it's feared that they are paving the way to grant Chinese authorities power to legally "arrest" anyone anywhere

This is what a lot of Hong Kong people advocated. By treating Hong Kong the same as China, it's hoped Chinese companies can no longer exploit Hong Kong's different system to export stuff cheaper than in China, especially when the

Quite a nice way to get an idea of what to do. Do you use this for serious products that you feel like releasing? Would you be discouraged when you have found an alternative on the market that fixed the problem for you?

This is a practical method, but every now and then I sit down and review my own goals, and find they have changed after I achieved the first few smaller goals. I wonder if this is common at all.

Try to understand what your colleagues have done. This will help you get to really know the team culture. If you're a programmer, read through some parts of the codebase, if possible, to get a sense of how your colleagues are doing the
