In what ways does it look that way, if you recall? I hear this semi-often, but I don't really get it. The base UI of Discord is pretty normal / looks just like every other chat app out there. Is it the ads for nitro and stuff like

In most cases, I would like to speak with those people and would miss them if I lost regular contact because they didn't want to change platforms. Most people just care about being able to talk to each other, not their devotion to some

Zulip is phenomenal. Cool and unique concept, clean and snappy UI. I have no idea why it's not more popular. (Network effects and an unfamiliar layout, I suppose.) I see the comments that say Matrix has improved a lot, so maybe it'

PJM probably isn't a great example, it's been famously slow to approve new generation, hasn't it? And the rates aren't exactly super cheap. We shouldn't get rid of coal without having something to replace it (ideall

That's fair, yeah. I do think parking garages are a pretty good solution, though obviously expensive (but cheaper than building out trains, like you said)

That's totally fair. I can't say I'm ever terribly bored at airports even without my phone, the people-watching is second to none (and plane-watching, of course). The expensive stores are a good point though, I always bring i

I can't say I've ever understood this sentiment. Flying itself is pretty annoying, especially on budget airlines with tight seats. But airports are just... buildings, nothing particularly special. Going through security is a pain

My thoughts as well. Also, every time I visit a new airport in the US, it comes to mind how damn near every medium-sized city has a sprawling, fairly clean, air-conditioned airport, with shops and seating, usually open 24 hours. The Amtrak

With all due respect, did you read the article... ? I'm not sure how you take that away from it at all. It says rather explicitly that both top down and bottom up are valid approaches.

This is a novel point for me and does seem to make sense. I'm definitely more of a "bottom up" programmer and haven't really been able to vibe (pun intended) with LLM workflows so far. In the cases where I can do a more

Given it's CCC, a hobbyist hacker con, OpenPNP and especially those three things you mentioned seem perfect, I'm not sure why you'd think it makes the con look bad. I've heard this talk mentioned repeatedly as one of the
