It's definitely not if but when. I'm sure radio engineers felt the same way until evolved antenna became a thing. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evolved_antenna

Violinist here, bowing also includes a feedback loop so I don't think a linear mechanical action could indicate how it sounds with a human player. But my signals background says can't we just hit with a hammer and measure the impu

I definitely prefer the visual style pre remaster, it has a much more painterly aesthetic. It also runs on old systems

Highly recommend his channel if you're interested in music production, I particularly enjoyed his tutorial on programming Dexed (a fantastic soft DX7 clonee). Music wise, I miss his earlier stuff.

Offline songs is my biggest gripe, they are impossible to find / filter for. To find them (i.e. on a flight) I pretty much have to go into my settings and switch to offline mode.

As a frontend dev I blame it entirely on the "co-design" fad and the rise of A/B testing. When I started 10 years ago the idea was that a designer can objectively produce a good UX using their skills (of course validating it

Can second this, with a 7 week old even the slightest risk of a hangover isn't worth a few hours of fun. My partner not being able to drink definitely helps.

Surprisingly the best codebase I've taken over was written by a uni student. Everything was strikingly simple to comprehend and yet perfectly abstracted. I think their inexperience and lack of hubris made them go to a lot of effort to

As a front end dev usually a design idea I want to propose to our UX team, or a prototype that will get thrown away. For example, I had some ideas for adding interactions/animations to some charts and used it as a chance to try out Sve

Is part of the issue non musical electronic devices all moving digital? I imagine there's a lot of analog IC's that were previously used across a wide range of industries are now moving far less units.
