Given that interest rates are 0.25% and inflation (non-core, the one you'll be paying) is >3% ... what is your alternative ? A pension is the only chance you have of a decent life when you get old. There is nothing else.

There are so many planes that cannot land in the event of complete electrical failure ... starting with every last modern passenger airliner. There the problem is that human strength is not enough to control flaps and hydraulics are too hea

Why bother with helipads ? Silicon valley has plenty of parkings and it is actually perfectly legal to land on them (assuming of course your plane is capable of that, which most aren't). This is assuming you have permission from the ow

Also, given enough money available, why ask people to build vulnerabilities in ? Does anyone seriously think Apple's (or anyone's) kernel team doesn't have a single guy/girl that made at least one mistake ?

That reasoning works until the judge considers damages. Then let's say it's a small developer, not too much work, and no commercial interest in the code. Damages are limited, in western law, to, well, damages. You need to have suf

With interest rates at 0.25% and the Fed talking about doubting whether they should go down or up, I hope you're not thinking that a pension fund will take care of you when you're old. That won't happen. With interest rates u

I have a question. 125.4 Pflop/s ... that would be about 23k nvidia GPUs (granted, 1080s). They claim they'll be able to do that with 10k by the end of the year, beginning of next year with server-class GPUs. So that Chinese numbe

You seen the replacement rate of energy with solar panels in the last 2 years or so ? Granted, cost calculations for those were done when oil was $100, but they made sense at that point and solar has been lowering in cost by ~27% per year.
