Just because you can't gain efficiency by changing the speed of the plane, with no other changes allowed, doesn't mean you have no options : 1) reduce weight (fuselage, engine, wings, have the passengers diet first, ...) 2) increa

I disagree strongly. You should keep into account that Go is a very young language, and hasn't had to deal with historical baggage. It's still the hot new thing, and that just won't last. 1) Concurrency model : there are plen

Well when the banks lost the ability to invest due to QE, first in the US, then in Europe, the money to pay for providing bank accounts had to come from somewhere else. Frankly, this is explicit government policy. Hell, QE is so ridiculous.

1) play.golang.org is a popular feature of Go. Why not have better versions ? (e.g. an IPython/Jupyter kernel) 2) Golang depends on code generation for a lot of it's features. Executing generated code immediately could be helpful.

Sure but turning 200 pages looking for a specific illustration or caption in 2-3 seconds is something I very often do with physical books and is pretty useful for reference works.

Seconded. Although I still think Turbo C and Borland Pascal 7 win out, but it's not like I'm using those anymore. I miss the demo days.

Historically, I believe it would be much more accurate to say that opportunity creates civil wars. People start wars because they think they can win. Incidentally, in most of those Chinese conflicts (4 out of 5 I believe), they were right.
