Anecdotally this seems true to me—when moving to London 4 years ago I was taken aback by the cost, but recent visits to my hometown of Sydney has also surprised me at how much it's "caught up" with London. Bit surprised Moscow is lower than

Culture shock to me, as someone who has visited 20-ish countries and lived in 2, is more that "things are almost normal and like what you're used to, but just not enough to be comfortable", and as a result you end up perpetually on edge and

Not hiding from anyone, or especially worried—I was just inquiring if Google Apps Premium (or Standard) would address the grandparent's privacy concern: thought maybe there was a clause in the T&Cs I missed or similar.

Is Google Apps premium guaranteed to actually protect you from the aforementioned privacy concerns? It's still on Google's servers.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Tuffmail: http://www.tuffmail.com/ . Their spam protection is excellent, and very configurable. They also have the fastest IMAP servers I've had the pleasure of using. Their web interface isn't anything s

I've heard Crockford use that quote in a few Yahoo! talks (when I used to work there). It's probably on one of his slides from either: "Javascript: The Good Bits" or one around the same time.

As pointless as this post is, I have to say that Dropbox is one of my favourite applications around. It's truly the epitome of "Just Works". That said, I'd love it if they introduced a lower price plan—I want to give them money, but I don't

The 23 Cocoa build is a bit broken, though: http://atomized.org/2009/08/cocoa-emacs-231-cvs-builds-and-t... I've since reverted to the Carbon Emacs 22 build (since I can't cope without fullscreen).
