So I've got an informal meeting with a VC this week - originally, the meeting was setup to talk about positions within the startups he's funded. The meeting took a while to happen because of various delays/vacations - and during that time

Agreed with all the posts here so far - I would only add that if you're selling to a larger organization, you'll likely go through some sort of vendor qualification by a centralized group - and it is unlikely that you'd ever get by without

The point is that productivity gains are only one obvious metric - businesses constantly battle capital spending vs. productivity.

A rather silly post - there are a lot of reasons why companies don't buy the best hardware - the comments on the thread do a great job of listing them.

"The real fiscal Armageddon that this country faces comes not from a delay in raising the debt ceiling, but from out-of-control federal spending and government debt. If a little pain now helps solve that problem for the long term, it may we

Anybody surprised that there was Twitter integration but no Facebook integration? I know they probably don't want to get in bed with Facebook, but it's strange to me to have one and not the other.

Yes, I agree - smart people like this are likely to succeed in any context. I suppose you could make the argument that their success will likely be heightened by the involvement in the program because of the connections they'll make - but
