If only this was the actual standard for journalism and not copy pasting half understood content with additional spin.

Mux was getting a bit too expensive for the way we were using it, so I wrote a Sanity plugin for video hosting on Bunny CDN, it’s been fantastic!

The issue here is that LLM’s are not human and so having a human mental model of how to communicate doesn’t really work. If I communicate to my engineer to do X I know all kinds of things about them, like their coding style, strengths and w

I have a Personal Theory(tm) that modern media in general has far too little value or accountability for something that has such a massive amount of leverage.

Then why do they have all this?

While I would love for this to be true for financial and egotistical reasons, I have a growing feeling that this might not be true for long unless progress really starts to stall.

Wealth gives more options in most if not all of those scenarios, so I think it’s hard to use it to test against many in vitro situations, possibly.

Completely off topic but when fonts are the size they are in this article I can't read it, the words don't register as words above a certain size. I assume this isn't normal or it wouldn't be so common...

I did notice that, the person you replied to made a categorical statement about intelligence followed immediately with negating that there is anything to make a concrete statement about.

To a large degree yes, but it blows my mind how complex some of the new features are when what seems like basics are still nonexistent. Root level variables for example (think media queries).

This would be quite funny since _I’ve been using bare metal the whole time_. But I don’t think it’s as simple as that.

Every time I see $/watt charts like this I just want a single link to buy something at that price. 20c/watt? Yes please, _where_.

You could also say that the hedonic treadmill runs faster. Getting a result that takes a smart person a day instead of lets say a week means repeating that 7 times (successfully) to feel like the week was well spent.

Notable times this has bitten me include compiling image compression tools for gulp and older versions of sass, oh and a memorable one with openssl. Downloading a npm package should ideally not also require messing around with c compilation

What I think is being skipped in the current conversation is that versatility keyword is hiding a lot of unknowns - even now. We don't seem to have a true understanding of the breadth or depth of our own unconscious thought processes,

I remember vividly the chaos before React and what it was like to not know whether it was worth investing in a framework because it might not be around for long. Vue was the first one that I stuck with for a while, but Nuxt was being update
