Perhaps spending it on inference that will be obsoleted in 6 months by the next model is not a good idea either. Edit: especially given that Apple doesn’t do b2b so all the spend would be just to make consumer products

For what it's worth my laptop with 16gb of DDR4 and a 2070 seems to run every game as well as I could want it to. I'm happy with what I have in this regard. a little less than 10% of steam users are still using 1000 series Nvidia

It's actually mostly the same in both cases. If steam or GOG goes down, you can no longer download the games you bought. But what about the games you have downloaded? Well GOG games will work out of the box, however the steam "DRM

Yeah I suspect that people are being over-diagnosed, but I also suspect we're catching dramatically more cases than we were previously. An overcorrection if you will.

I had to factory reset my Mac because inexplicably Siri, Spell Check, and Apple Intelligence were "disabled by my admin." I have no MDM. I am my admin. I spent roughly a month delving through logs trying to resolve it.

Point still taken, however you can only really check if a given font is installed, not obtain a list of all fonts. Thus, installing a wacky font is pointless as the fingerprinter won’t bother to check that particular font. There is queryL
