Ohhhhh... Right. Just to mirror what I understand: You have experienced that, while talking, you thought "Oh, I've been talking for hours already. I should stop now." but in reality you haven't even scratched the, let&#x

To answer your question without knowing any context: I would err on the side of it being received as rather passive aggressive. I do not recommend using the app (especially not without context) as a proxy for a difficult conversation that m

Totally understand. It's the most common question I've gotten for those who themselves experience 'the blah' by someone else. I published an FAQ ( https://unblah.me/#faqs ) earlier today. Posting it here f

Hey there! I empathize that not talking enough is just as difficult. I have had this on my radar as well and, in a way, you can totally use it to track your non-speaking as well. Here's an idea: What if there was a toggle for your sce

Interesting perspective. I can only speak for myself of course: The issue only happens in online meetings and probably only with specific teams. So, I would have "slipped through", if your interview process is in-person. It starts

Cool, thanks for giving it a spin, too! If there are any issues with the installation/set up, please let me know. Happy to jump on a call as well (See the contact button on the site)

LOL, which is _why_ – after learning about plots and tropes last week here on HN – I had to _naturally_ create "Plotto for Obsidian"[^1]. (It's basically all of Plotto exploded into navigatable markdown files for faster disco

I can only speak for myself on this. Yes, I picked up SwiftUI last year initially because Electron/JS/TypeScript just never felt fun. Yet, I wanted to build out a few desktop/work-related ideas. Then, after going through the

Oh, that's so cool, thank you very much for clarifying. Looking at your example in light of Jacque's overall question I would say, this operator is either paid directly or indirectly to promote the site. I don't know/can

Nice one! Back in 2012 I built the (now defunct) Freakonomics Experiments site[^1] that used had the same A vs. B premise using John Walker's HotBits[^2] from Switzerland. In case of interest, Steven Levitt published their - albeit sin

Good idea to preempt those points, keeps the conversation focused imho. One thing I noticed that I hadn't seen in any other Electron note-taking apps yet is that it's using Google Analytics to track usage but I didn't see any

Hey there, thank you for posting! Alexis here, the creator. I built QuickDown for myself for "keyboard-first, local markdown note-taking" I _personally_ use Obsidian afterwards to connect, edit and publish my notes, but it works j

I very much agree and share a similar experience. Struggling with ADHD is not a matter of not being able to focus. Part of the issue is directing and keeping attention on non-pleasant tasks that are stacked up against a brain chronically lo

I remember seeing the replay of PG writing an essay[^1] back in 2009. To me, this was such a strong way to show (rather than tell) just _how_ hard writing really is. [^1] Here's the current link if you're interested so watch: htt
