As someone who spends quite a bit of time sketching and drawing for my own satisfaction, it does matter to me when something is created using AI. I can tell whether something is a matte painting, Procreate, watercolor, or some other medium.

Hmm. In the framing you are using, I would say that wealth is first generated from strong institutions - socialism or not.

Tangentially related - If you aren’t aware, there are out of court settlement bodies which exist as part of the DSA. If you have content which is removed, or a moderation decision you wish to dispute, you can go to one of these bodies to g

I think being a “Techie” is now something that is splitting. - People who want to work in tech because it was a stable and/or lucrative career - People who just want/love to code - People who loved tech / think tech is cool T

Theres a (now old) memo that specifically outlines which talking points carry most salience amongst the audience. Those terms are present here in your comment. (Luntz - The language of Healthcare 2009) Even with waiting lists, people get he

I think the 2024 Economics Nobel disproves this. It showed that nations with strong institutions create wealth - and it was a causative link they proved, not simply correlation.

Testing out LLM based content moderation tools, but on code mixed content. Content is not typical pure english content. Mostly its been a journey in getting data and then fiddling with policy. I'm using COPE from Zentropi to run my mod

Oh heck no! Definitely no! I am genuinely asking, because I think one of the biggest determinants of utility obtained from LLMs is the operator. Damn, I didn’t consider that it could be read that way. I am sorry for how it came across.

So lets run it through the rubric test - What’s your level of expertise in this domain or subject? How did you use it? What were your results? It’s basically gauging expertise vs usage to pin down the variance that seems endemic to LLM util

Doubt it. I suspect it’s fundamentally not possible in the spirit you intend it. Reality is perfectly fine with deception and inaccuracy. For language to magically be self constraining enough to only make verified statements is… impossible.

It is frustrating, to have this argument, when the current state of the art to mould speech, has already found ways around this defensive line. Currently speech is shaped by producing a glut of speech, and then having the most useful narrat

The issue with this argument, for anyone who comes after, is not when you give a gun to a SINGLE person, and then ask them "would you do a bad thing". The issue is when you give EVERYONE guns, and then are surprised when enough pe

You get that by dealing with the absolute capture of the news and media ecosystem, something that has been lumbering along since the 1960s. People voted based on the information they had. The information system they had has been mapped out.
