Looks like it's only in the release notes [1] - I only spotted it recently myself while updating an extension, it's: web-ext run --target chromium [1] https://github.com/mozilla/web-ext/releases

MutationObserver should do the trick if you can pick elements which consistently change at times you'd want to re-run. Watching for <title> changes tends to be good for single page apps.

I have that problem solved [1] but I've only had 10 new tweets in my timeline in the last couple of hours. The default text size also got smaller and changes to text size and colour customisation aren't getting persisted, so I ass

Is there a similar point-and-click tool which can output Django models with all the relationship fields wired up correctly? Getting as far as you can modelling a new problem domain with just models.py and the Django admin is pretty fun.

As a result of this comment I finally jumped through the necessary hoops to get MilkDrop working with foobar2000 - seeing it running at 1080p/60fps feels like I've just arrived in the future.

It doesn't do fuzzy matching (PR, anyone?) but Goto Directory (Ctrl + G) is also great and instantaneous.

Create a bookmarklet of this: let d = new Date() d.setFullYear(d.getFullYear() - 10) location.href = `https://news.ycombinator.com/front?day=${d.getFullYear()}-${d.getMonth() + 1}-${d.getDate()}`

I have a user script for that [1]. If you visited a story's comments before, it will highlight new comments and can auto-collapse threads without new comments. Otherwise, it gives you a slider you can use to highlight the X most recent

Unfortunately you can't turn off the algorithm which treats other people's favourites as if they were retweets, which makes me think twice about using the favourite feature at all. I know I've had stuff put into my feed which

It's worth using Babel's loose mode (es2015-loose in the online REPL) if you're more interested in the "old" way of doing it than in compatibility with the specs: "use strict"; function _classCa

I use a userscript [1] to toggle display of retweets and likes which Twitter's algorithm decides should act like retweets, to make their extra "engagement" opt-in. It also highlights these tweets when displayed, so it's

You can still capture an uncontrolled input's data `onChange` and `onBlur` for validation, password strength checking, later submission etc., you just don't reflect it back into the input on every render. The only thing it affects

I have no idea how anyone manages to follow conversations beyond their first visit to a story on vanilla HN - I can only manage it with a Greasemonkey script [1] which shows which previously-viewed stories have new comments, highlighting ne

I switched the other way, as JSX fixed the main problem I've had for years using "hyperscript" (or DOM builders, as we used to say). Its comma-free syntax sugar for function calls, element lists and attribute objects makes it

The only way I've been able to get Flow to be usable on my low-specced laptop is to tell it to [ignore] node_modules/.* and add a file to both [ignore] and [libs] which has one of these for each of my dependencies: declare m

You can achieve that with any view library which can rehydrate from a server-rendered version and can support your minimum list of requirements. The specifics depends on the libraries you're using. I was experimenting with this [1] a c

This isn't some sort of best-practice example application written by the React team, nor has it even been optimised in any meaningful way - it's the same base app started by some rando on the day the Hacker News API was made avail

If you're using Webpack is it possible to gradually opt files into TS type checking _without_ having to rename them, since you can specify which filename patterns loaders apply to?

Where are the star counts from? Create React App was created in 2016 and has more than 18k stars but is shown as having gained 5.6k stars in 2016 (I think it got more than that in its first week!)
