As a note, even CRC32 is enough to check most random collisions.

It is already normally possible to test whether email address is registered by trying to register with that email address. Unless that process is secured too, it doesn't really make much sense to not pop up Unknown email address error.

You already spelled a problem. If automation failed and you kill-switch an airplane to fly at specific height and direction (assuming, of course, that altimeter and compass/gps unit hasn't failed), how do you land that plane and

In my experience, I always write a clear, idiomic C code along with my intrinsics-based vectorized function, alo png with comment on tricky part (such as using packus for clamping thing to 0-255). You got clear code, and also optimized code

That is ridiculous. Page align everything can easily be a leftover code that is fast for old CPU, as you said in your original content. You would still call that premature optimization? Or you think that every time new processor is released

I haven't read the source article, but SourceForge at some point was real slow. Like, it would takes minutes alone to Log In at SourceForge, let alone checking out SVN repo. Accessing website hosted on SourgeForge was real slow too. I

RedHat Enterprise Linux is both Open Source and Commercial Software. There are nothing prevent it being done. Android is another example. Also, Linux is huge in server world.

Yeah. How many users (not power users) actually type https:// into address bar? To my knowledge, if you don't include the protocol, browser default to HTTP.

I wonder if CMOVcc instruction on x86 is considered a branch. It is fairly trivial to implement fizzbuz without Jcc but with CMOVcc. EDIT: Or SETcc, minus 1, and use it as data mask.

Some reasons I can think on top of my head. (Which mean this may not be actual reason for mailchimp). First is ease of finding developers. This may not be so true now, but the post is from four years ago. Second, and this may be more import

No. The value of knowing your system well far exceed the value of supposedly best system (of which is really arguable). Especially if it's a rush job, using tools you know well will drastically reduce time needed, because you already k

It need not to be commercial service. For example, Wikipedia is a donation-only service. A bot visit is generally not different then most user visiting (I'd assume most users don't donate anyway). Wikipedia doesn't really min

I agree that cycle collector is pointless waste of time. Most script runs short enough that the memory leak doesn't really matter. But for long running script, it's either cycle collector, or add support for weak reference. But IM

No it isn't. You are still going to need to maintain multiple code path. Especially with SIMD instruction set like AVX-512 -- to be performant you need to do things with direct assembly anyway.

> Could a third party sign up to cloudflare for a domain they do not own and somehow spoof the checks? You need to point the your domain to CloudFlare nameserver. I don't think you can do that unless you actually control the domain.

No offence, but considering that their Pro plan which include SSL starts at $20 for first, and $5 for the rest per account. At 50*$20 it's only $1000. That doesn't sound right.

They offers SSL with CloudFlare-issued cert for non-free plan already. I assume they use the old method of obtaining cert. Also, I think at their scale they can get special plan from CA.

If I am not mistaken, PHP is copy-on-write, so if extract just copy value then memory usage wouldn't be doubling.

Just for a note, there is OfflineAudioContext to process audio offline as fast as your filter chain allows.
