I own a Qubes T-shirt which I bought in person at FOSDEM. The design on the T-shirt consists of many copies of the QMSK in hexadecimal. All of their merch is like this.

Casey generally, across all his material, advocates for non-pessimisation. Measurement takes too long to apply it to your entire program. He advocates for thinking about how much work the computer should actually have to do, then not making

He mostly evangelizes non-pessimal software. He advocates that your program should only be a small factor like 3x slower than the hypothetical optimum - instead of 10000x slower as today's software often is. He compared Visual C++ 6&#x

Are they? Casey programmed the walk monster for Jon's game, a brute force tester to make sure you could always walk both ways and never get stuck, instead of building the walking system using a nav mesh. There was one place you could w

Certain signals are true user-mode interrupts, like SIGTERM and some of the ones glibc uses to implement pthreads. The ones related to application logic must only be handled with signalfd if you want any semblance of reliability.

Bad argument. You're saying the French were wrong to sabotage Hitler's airplanes because they might've been used after the war to defend Germany from the USSR.

I don't think undump is a hack except to the extent the whole thing is a hack. Linux shoves a lot of stuff to userspace that other operating systems put in kernel space; this is just another one of them. The program loader is not magic

Why would there be a limited number of ferry licenses?

No, it's just warding off pedantry. There is one way that reasoning traces might "be the reason" something happens, but that's different from the reasoning trace saying why something happens, which was the question.
